PANCHKULA: Cast your vote and get discounts!
Salons, pizza chains, hotels, restaurants, and cab service providers, among others, will roll out special deals and discounts to those who exercise their franchise on Wednesday. The rebate will be offered from October 16 to October 18.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in partnership with other organizations, has taken the initiative to encourage voting.
Jaiprakash S Hasrajani, chairman, CII's Yi Chandigarh Tricity Chapter, said, "The campaign, aimed at celebrating the spirit of democracy, will enable voters to claim 10% to 50% discounts, interesting offers and attractive deals at more than 300 outlets across Tricity."
Sameer Sharma, official of an online shopping company and member of CII, said a voter could avail of the benefits by showing the inked finger.
"After voting, a voter can post his photograph on our online firm's page. He will get a code through email and can get discounts by showing the code at any of the outlets under our service," added Sharma.
Calling it a great effort to make people aware of their rights and duties, Rajesh Kumar, general manger of a restaurant and bar in Sector 8, said, "We will offer 25% discount to our customers on food items. They would just have to show their inked finger."
